I was so excited when my sweet friend Candice asked me to make a gender reveal cake for her.  Candice wanted something a little more unique than the typical pink and blue theme so here is what I came up with!

It was so fun watching Candice and Glen cut into the cake to find that they will be having a...

gorgeous little lady! Congratulations Candice and Glen.  I can't wait to meet your precious little girl!

I was blessed to spend the past weekend in Lubbock celebrating the wedding of my good friends Emily and Steve.  While the boys were busy playing golf and shooting guns, us girls were busy tasting wine and showering Emily with love and... lingerie!

We had a great time decorating our hotel room- it turned into a perfectly charming party location!

Since the bride is gluten-free, I made some French macarons for the shower.  The maid of honor brought espresso, cream cheese rice krispie treats and gf brownies.

Emily and I had purchased some fresh Texas peaches from Ham Orchards the previous week- so naturally I turned them into homemade peach ice cream!  Perfect for peach, champagne floats (which made our shower games that much more fun!).

What a great beginning to a wonderful weekend! Stay tuned for photos of the groom's cake I made for the wedding!
